Help everyone! We are starting to look at reservation software. After hearing some discussion (not very positive...) I'm concerned about the amount of staff time involved. Please share your experiences and name your software company.

We love our software. At ALD and at DCL the software of choice is EnvisionWare LPT ONE....It is great. Sheila
With EnvisionWare there is really very little staff time involved.
You will need to show the patron how to make a reservation (if one is needed), how to log in with their barcode (actually very self-explanatory) and how to use the print release station.
We do spend a fair amount of time at the desk looking up patron barcode numbers. We are still trying to train some of our patrons after 4-5 years!
I agree with Sheila....you will love having a reservation system and so will your staff!
